Port of Hamburg

Hamburg's raison d'etre is its massive port - Europe's second-largest after Rotterdam - which covers 100km2 and employs around 140,000. Popular harbour boat tours are the best way to experience the port first hand. Boat tours depart from the St Pauli Landungsbrücken piers near Landungsbrücken S- and U-Bahn stations.
