Great auditour inside the house, well preserved interiors, beautiful gardens, great views

Pretty location with nice gardens. The actual house only has 6ish rooms open which was disappointing. Would love to explore the rest! The audio guides are a must!

Author Sir Walter Scott created Ivanhoe, Rob Roy – and this magnificent manor, the embodiment of Scottish romanticism and awarded the EU Prize for Cultural Heritage in 2014.

Choose the 'Plain English' audio tour, not the one narrated by an actor portraying Sir Walter Scott.

Эбботсфорд построен самим сэром Вальтером Скоттом, собственноручно. Доспехи, кабинет, полки с тысячами книг, окна дома глядят на его любимую реку Твид.
